Got something from a friend
What I wanted from the start
Help around life’s turning bends
Someone who’s apart
Something that I needed
To cure the saddened blues
Something overwhelming
Right now the latest news
To everyone around me
They say it will not last
To the person beside me
I try not to bring up the past
Your kisses are always sweet
And your hugs are always better
But when I see your face
It brightens all the bad weather
Please show me how you feel
Through the warmth of your touch
Then I can really show you
How I can love you this much.
