Your first Christmas in Heaven will surely be
A far grander one than here on Earth we will ever see.
With gold all the streets will be paved
And in God's Holy Light you will be bathed.
You'll spend all day worshipping the King,
And with all your loved ones passed, 'Happy Birthday' you'll sing.
Nothing else to do but praise the Lord
Happy and laughing like it tells us in His Word.

And all of us you have left behind,
In God's Word comfort we'll have to find.
And I know you are in a happier place.
I wish I could see your smiling face.
You don't know how greatly you are missed.
This year I couldn't make you a Christmas list,
But if I could, all it would say
Is how I wish I could be with you on this day.
You always loved this time of year
And even though I can't see you here
I'm thinking of and loving you anyway
As you celebrate your first Christmas in Heaven today.
