Young Starlight Poem by jessie kollar

Young Starlight

Your mind so fresh,
Your fears unfound
Living in regression.
Your mousy brown hair,
Your jaded green eyes
A face the portrait of your mother,
Why I ask you why?
Why do you weep for attention?
Why do you desecrate everything good?
Young star light, youth so bright
Why wont you let me in tonight
I know your wild, untamed, and free,
Was it I?
No, no, it was you.
And young star light
When will you come to me?
And finally see,
That you are loved
And straiten up your angry ways
And be the child that I pray
