You've Taught Me How To Live Mommy Poem by Phoenix1 Smith

You've Taught Me How To Live Mommy

You're the most beautiful woman to me
with the perfect heart shaped face
the shining eyes and pretty lips
I never wondered why
most people would say
I have a beautiful mother...

I can still remember
the warm touch of your hand
rubbing my back when I am sick
the glass of milk you give me
each night before I go to sleep

It is not just those things
which makes me admire you most
but the way you taught me how to live
even on days when money was scarce,
we don't have anything to eat,
you'll put on a smile and you'll tell me
tomorrow we'll have a feast..

You've taught me how wonderful life is
how to be kind and compassionate
towards other people in need
you have made me believe
I am the most beautiful
woman in the world...
silly me, I really did believed it..

Most of all, you've taught me
how to never lose hope
that always to never give up
for everything will be alright..

All the things you shared to me
had been the weapon I have used
to protect me in this not so kind world
I will always be grateful to you
my ever loving Mother...

I owe you all that I am today
someday I know I'll be able
to see you again in Heaven
and you'll tell me: I am so proud of you,
as you have done well my daughter...
