You Too Are One Poem by Francis Duggan

You Too Are One

Everyone does have their own life story to tell
But mostly only the wealthy and famous have their biographies published in book form to sell
Most people as wealthy and famous do not grow old
And their life stories sadly remain as untold
Yet the wealthy and famous who are widely known
One can say do not have lives of their own
As many of their personal lives of seem to know
And from stories on them magazine and newspaper sales grow
Your downside of fame is you become public property
And to fame you do lose most of your privacy
And though many of the admiring masses your praises may sing
You too are one who does not have everything.
