You Suddenly Left Without Saying A Word Which Could Spoil The Sanctity Of Our Chosen Silence. Poem by RIC BASTASA

You Suddenly Left Without Saying A Word Which Could Spoil The Sanctity Of Our Chosen Silence.

there was this time
when i realized what i
once did

that of saying thank you
and i am so sorry
together as though they
are fraternal twins
from the womb of my own
thoughts

it was said before that
moment when twilight breaks
finally with the morning filters
of light coming from the
spreading legs of the mountains.

you wake up and take a glance
at me, and then you suddenly
left without saying a word
which could spoil the sanctity
of our chosen silence.
