You Say I Can'T Help You? Poem by Jacquelyn Gagnon

You Say I Can'T Help You?

Rating: 5.0

An engineer
drove a train
that thought it could

an engineer
built a structure
and there it stood

an engineer
made the machine
that built your car

an engineer
made new strings
for an old guitar

an engineer
drew up plans
to see the stars

an engineer
joined a group
working towards peace

the group thought
why are they here?
how could they help?

they're just an engineer
