You Say Poem by Joanna Patino

You Say

You say i don't love you.
You say i don't care.
You say that I'm cruel
Like your nothing but air.

Well let, me tell you,
If i didn't care i wouldn't call.
I wouldn't spend time letting you through,
In my heart at all.

I wouldn't spend hours memorizing everything.
What you did or anything.
Not even things like what you said.
Instead I'll find ways to pretend you were dead.

But since i trust you, i believe.
Wishing that you would never leave.
Knowing i'll be left in my grieve.
Waiting for you becoming naive.

But since I do care, i listen.
Listening to all the reasons.
Only to be left in confusion.
Falling deeper to find my heart missing.
