You Said Poem by Katy Lue

You Said

You said you loved me,
But I'm sure you said that to the new girl,
I'm sure you LOVE her for all I wasn't,
For all I will never be,
She wears the dreads where cleavage shows,
a party's girl,
and I'm sure you'll go,
worlds away we are,
In all aspects of life,
I am not her,
I will never be her,
but then again I'm so desperate for you,
Will I?
Will I?
All for you,
the one who said you loved me....
and her

Brilliant portrayal of inner conflict in this short poem.
