You & Me Poem by Michael Cardozza

You & Me

Rating: 4.8

Often i'll ask myself, is love deep within me.
Would it fill the deepest valley, the deepest sea?
Mountains may move, their mighty peaks tumble.
And that's when I say, 'so long as there's you and me.

Some say, romance is a gift of life from God to cherish
that only mortal death should cause its touch to perish,
but my love for you is not just a token.
It will stay in my heart and never be broken.

Others lack trust and committment true love demands,
resulting in broken hearts, like montains to sand, and-
hills in their effort to wander, may crumble.
But you and me are each others heart's, come take my hand.

Lovely voyage of pure bliss - that is love, the spiritual bondage of two hearts actively performing their divinely ordained duty, is well depicted in the poem. Beautiful love poem nicely written from the heart. Thanks for sharing Scheherazade. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
