You & Me! Poem by Sara Tober

By day we’re in school,
Doing boring work.
After school I’m half asleep,
But still manage to talk on computer.
Then by night,
Hopefully on the phone.
It sucks that we live so far apart,
And hurts to not be able to see you.
At night I worry,
When I can’t talk to you.
What if he comes when everyone’s asleep?
For me,
I barely sleep,
So everyday I feel like sleeping in class.
I barely eat anymore as well,
For I’m to nervous with fear.
They say “there is nothing to fear, but fear itself.”
I disagree,
I mean look at me,
I fear him and my nightmares with my whole heart.
What if the nightmare does come true?
What will happen then?
What will happen to me?
What will happen to you?
Most importantly, what will happen to us?
Will we still be together?
Will we still love each other?
Will you love me still?
I know my answer,
Of course I will still love you,
I WILL always love you.
But the question still remains,
Will you still love me?
Or will you love another?
I hope you will still love me,
Or at least have a place in your heart just for me,
Because for me,
Even though you might still not,
I will always have a place in my heart for you.
