Istrat Gato

(5, mar,1982.)

You have never touched me by my hairy shoulder

You have never touched me
by my hairy shoulder
so I go, before you go

You ate my cookie-cream Haagen-Dazs
all alone
so I go, before you go

I found a two-days worn sock
under your bed
so I go, before you go

Your bra is too big
for you
so I go, before you go

You try to walk like you are on a catwalk
but you don't look so
so I go, before you go

You are consistently
inconsistent
so I go, before you go

Your mom doesn't have two front teeth
but big wisdom teeth
so I go, before you go

you might go
so I go, before you go

Poem of the Day

poet Charles Stuart Calverley

He stood, a worn-out City clerk —
Who'd toil'd, and seen no holiday,
