You Didn'T Love Me But You Possessed Me But I Broke Free. Poem by Aleta Jean

You Didn'T Love Me But You Possessed Me But I Broke Free.

You promised me the world. You told me that God exquisitely made me just for you. You made me feel like an angel that came from above. You never once gave up on chasing me even I told you many times that I don't want you. You pursued me like a lion out to kill it's pray. You wanted me so much that you even walked the roughest seas for agony for me. You promised me to always love me and no matter how good and bad that I can be until I died. Now I see those where just empty words of expression of love for me because there were others besides me. You broke my spirit and heart many times with words of agony. You clipped my wings with mental and physical abuse. You even told me that I was not beautiful enough for others to see. You became my nightmare in my dreams. You wanted me so badly. You nearly destroyed me. You even told me that you will kill me. You never loved me but you possessed me but I broke free and my wings grew back. Now I am free from the abuse you gave me. Now I have another love to love me and he shows me how real love can be. He is the person that truly loves me. I am glad that you are out of my life, but most of all I am blessed to have found a love that makes me fly like a wild bird that is totally free. He believes in my dreams and loves me not matter how I can be, now your nothing to me but an enemy.
