You Did Not Die Poem by Luke Missi

You Did Not Die

You did not die
You just closed your eyes for some rest
I do not cry,
I am not crying either
I won't stand on your grave and cry either
You are here with me.

You are the ocean tides that flow any direction
You are the October rains that cleans our house roofs
You are the gentle winds that blew cool breeze
You are morning dew everlasting bliss

You are the winter winds that sweeps the graves
You are a thousand stars that shines every night
You are a cloud, that moves up and down hilltops
You are a beautiful verse, a memorable chorus.

You did not die
You just closed your eyes for some rest
I do not cry,
You are here with me
