You Are Not Here Poem by Paul Hartal

You Are Not Here

'You are not here', said the Porcopine.
'But I am here', protested the Octopus.

'Well, are you in New York? '

'No, I am not'. said the Octopus.

'So, are you in Stockholm? ',
asked the Pocupine.

'No', said the Octopus.

'Well', said the Porcupine,
'if you are not in New York,
nor in Stockholm, then you are
somewhere else. And if you are
somewhere else, then you are not here.'
