Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow Poem by joy olree

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

Failed the test graduated anyway.
Got the job, got the guy
saved for a rainy day.
Bought the boots and the umbrella
it never rained, not a drop.
What’s a girl to do?
Yesterday I was told prepare
for today, today I was told,
prepare for tomorrow.
Yesterday is gone I’m still here.
Today is mine tomorrow a myth,
because today is always today,
tomorrow never comes.
All this preparing for myths
Does not let me enjoy today.
Yesterday, today, tomorrow
before, now, next,
almost sounds like a riddle.
Today, now is all I have so
I am going to enjoy what I
have now before it becomes a myth.
