If you try to find yourself,
But you look too deep.
If you get so lost in your emotions,
That you can no longer sleep.
Words can help you express,
How you got to making this
Big mess…
If you conform to the ways
Of this sick hard world,
Things will start to happen,
Spin out of your control.
Just remember who
Was there from the beginning,
When you get lost..
Oh look deep inside,
But don’t do it to hide,
Hide away from all you are,
Hide from who you’ve become.
Find yourself, who you used to be,
When the new you is no
Longer a good keep.
Cry yourself to sleep,
But only if you dare.
Reddened eyes from
All your tears.
Relief will fill you,
Once you let it go.
Write it all down,
Then rip it up,
And you will know.
Yeah, you’ll know.
All these emotions inside you,
Let them go.
All these lies that you have told,
don’t do that anymore.
All the scars that you have made,
Throw them all away.
Wash it all away.
Forget it, today.
A peace you need to find,
When you’re all alone.
Dreading what’s inside,
When you are home.
And then need to get away,
Forget who you’ve become.
Find yourself you are,
Not too far away.
You don’t need to travel,
You could find yourself today.
Getting lost so you can
See who you truly are,
Maybe makes sense in your head,
But does it in your heart?
Does leaving really make it
All better?
I don’t think so.
Look in yourself today,
Find a way.
Look deep inside,
don’t try to hide,
don’t hide away.
don’t lie anymore today.
Forget where you’ve been,
Ignore what you’ve become.
Today lets start over,
