Yes, but

Yes, but you had all the time of the world
To draft the edges of memory and the beat of the first dawn
You left me the sand the hair and the poetess’s heart
Yes, but in the mimesis of my own ashes I gained
The soul of midnight so as to strike the world
And get my peace

Da, ali
Da, ali ti si imao svo vrijeme ovog svijeta i ponoć
Da njome rubiš ivice pamćenja i otkucaj prve zore
Meni si ostavio pijesak kosu i srce pjesnikinje
Da, ali u podobiju praha sopstvenog dobih
I dušu od ponoći da otkucam svijet
I tako dobijem mir
