My heart aches and sobs
Reminiscing the gasping mouth
For what I do not know
Yellow beak, with quivering tongue, wide opened
Pleading for something,
Water, air, protection, kindness, or life?
I, the most miserable, could not sort out
Before poor you left this beautiful world
My heart aches for something
I just fail to sort out what
Dripped red spotty petals,
Still remains on my door step
I do not feel like taking them off
Kraaaaa......k Kraaaaaaaaa.......k the yell
Through the grip of canines of the Kitty
For what ever I could not offer
My aching heart is pleading now to Kitties
Please, please do not do this again
Let the innocents live in their world
Cos' just like you and I
They too have the solemn right to live
Which, as The Enlightened One said
No one has the right to rob of
This poem made me sad. Your poem is written in a style every bit as sweet and innocent as the little baby bird of which you write. Red petals- -drops of blood- -brilliant! Your poem places us right there on the doorstep with you- -I could feel your anguish, because I've been there. Your poem is excellent, and the ending wrenched at my heartstrings. Well done.

I agree with Brian. This poem brings fresh the intense grief and anger of loss. Comparing human sobs to that of the Mynah bird is sheer poetic inspiration. This is a very evocative poem. Yes, it makes me sad, because from the reading, I'm imagining the speaker expressing grief over the untimely death of a special loved one, too young to be ripped from earth. The bird references, the kitties, the canines, the sounds, bring to mind inncocence and lack of rhyme or reason. Yes, this is well done. Thanks.
