Wrapped, Closed And Zipped Poem by Brindha Saran

Wrapped, Closed And Zipped

Who on earth asked you to stray into my thoughts

whoever beckoned you to wander into my dreams

whatever possessed you to steal my sanity

and leave me gazing into nothingness with eerie joy.

Who was it who urged you to whip me awake at 4am

and saute me with those dreams of passion unknown;

and oh! whatever on earth happened to those few moments

as with a twinkling wink the evil clock shows oh damn! 6am.

I would so like to sleep now, thank you very much

and catch up on those hours spent dazed churned and spread;

So, if you don't mind, please do leave my thoughts and dreams alone

so that i could return to my sanity wrapped, closed and zipped.
