Would Heaven Not Be Fairer
Would Heaven be Fairer?

I ponder what God will claim to his heaven,
That which he created and graced upon the earth,
Trees, whose presentation of ever-changing beauty,
Takes one's breath away to announce each season's birth,
Would heaven not be fairer with these of his miracles?
Butterflies, whose delicate beauty captivates one's being,
The flight of an eagle or the trill of a songbird's hymn,
Or the glade's fair meadow of lavender blossom's perfume,
The wind-song rushing through the forest willows limbs,
Would heaven not be fairer with these of his miracles?
The symphony of the river's flow and rapids,
Thundering of wild horses upon the canyon floor trail,
Or an ocean's rhythmic beating surf upon the sand,
The whispers of the wheat and corn before the gale,
Would heaven not be fairer with these of his miracles?
Even with the knowledge that heaven is the fairest of fair,
And God's creations and power humble us to tears,
Or given that he treasures you and I to claim to his heaven,
Our children's joy and laughter be music to his ears,
Would heaven not be fairer with these of his miracles?
Alas, it is just I within a pondering,
Some moment in time, the answer will come,
However, twill never be the end of my awe and wondering.
