Worst Desires
By: Taylor Donnelly

I'm red hot and dangerous
siring is my kiss
my eyes drift closed I'm losing conciseness
if it cuts like a knife then we'll be alright,
it can cut the strife just for tonight
and we will sleep tight
with in our right
save our selves and find salvation
with sleepless nights and determination
if you ever loved me
leave me
in your memories please keep me

at the end we are nothing but what we do
and in the end I'm me and you are you
my desires are my worst enemies
your desires are my best friends
these dirty words pressed though glossed lips
these bad intentions disguised and settled on bare hips
by the tricks of the trade, we've all been weighted

I've been found wanting
those old photographs so haunting
settled down with memoirs so faded
and the ideas so jaded
this who we are
this is how far
this is the music blasting in your car
with the windows down
inverting that frown
this is who we have become

your touch?
my skin!
at question...
your sanity!
