World's Within Worlds Poem by Juan Olivarez

World's Within Worlds

A drop of water
In the morning sun.
A leaf decaying
On the forest floor.
A crack in the bark
Of a giant oak tree.
The underside of a rock
On a desert trail.
A bird's dropping
On a slender branch.
A thin sliver
On a wooden floor.
There are world's within world's.
Universes, within universes.
World's altered or destroyed
Universes and world's of infinite beings.
The destroyers come destroy and move
To other universes, other world's.
A broom, a boot, the claws of a hunter.
A gentle breeze, that's a 1000 mph tornado.
There are world's within world's.
Universes within universes.
