Words That Were Never Spoken Shall Forever Echo In Time Poem by Matthew Soriano

Words That Were Never Spoken Shall Forever Echo In Time

Words that were never spoken shall forever echo in time.
Getting high getting drunk,
Paying no attention to those faces of tears.
Filled with hopes and dreams
Your friends are at your feet
Wishing and hoping you'll see the light.
Pot and beer numb the tears and pain.
That night will never be forgotten,8: 30 pm;
When my sister told me as I sat there in bed.
'Matt your best friend Chris is dead,
He shot himself in the head! '
Words silently rushed out of my mouth.
Later on I found out what he and his father are all about.
Like a ripple it got bigger and bigger, his father's last words were pulled the trigger
'I WISH I WAS DEAD SO THAT THIS PAIN WOULD STOOOOOP! '
As YOU wake up at 4: 00 AM the family asleep,
'OUT BACK ON THAT BEACH CHAIR FILLED WITH MEMORIES.'
I can just see you now in your blue bathrobe with your boxers and your blue slippers,
So happy….. So peaceful….So relaxed…. laughter fills the morning air.
Your eyes shut looking up at the sky
POP….
Words that were never spoken shall forever echo in time.
