Words Of Faith Can Perform A Miracle! Poem by Denis Martindale

There comes a time when words get shared by writers young and old,
By poets, too, as they prepared their stories to be told.
Yet who can say the ones God blessed of all thoughts that were penned,
Or those that left the Lord impressed, yes, right up to THE END?

But those who cherish Bible books would seem to please God more
Than just the guy who sometimes looks, yet Good News would ignore.
But oh, what treasures God reveals, to students of His Word,
Beyond each error that conceals the wonders God preferred.

The spirit, rather than the law, the blessing, not the curse,
The Christian poet must make sure God's wisdom's in his verse.
Hymnwriter's praise the Lord with love, their worship's so sincere,
Their words are miracles enough that Jesus holds most dear.

How Great Thou Art, Amazing Grace, consider what they tell,
Then gaze upon the Saviour's face! Christ can save you as well...
