I struggled to keep it ablaze
Now as you take it on your own
It will be hard for you.

But always try to give it your best
Remember I will always be there for you
My child - you shall always be
Over land and seas you'll fly.

Cling on to what I've taught you
Like a maiden to her good manners
Let them not change you
Be kind and polite

Walk with your head held high
Step with confidence
For you are a son of the soil
