Woman With Thin Fingers Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Woman With Thin Fingers

The woman with thin
Fingers
She sings of verse and
Poetry
She yet pronounces
No word
In her silent sadness
No
She pronounceth no more
Word
The woman with thin
Fingers
She always weeps
Though
In
Her
Heart
That's broken
Long
Ago
And
Now
Continues
Breaking.
She writes but in her
Eyes no hope shines
She's listless
And
Her
Pen
Moves forward
With weak force.
She is the Mother of the Desert Heart.
That woman of thin fingers.
She's Anna
She's woman from Earth's women.
The Mother of the Broken Heart.
