Without You Poem by Ibrahim Enitan Eniola Olubiyi

Without You

Before now,
Have I lingered on this strange thought about you,
As bitter as the gall,
As insipid as derision without salt
As empty as the vacuum,
Unthinkable, unimaginable
A mystery of unfathomable magnitude,
A puzzle without a solution,
A strange world,
Mine will be without you

Life without you!
Unacceptable!
Life without you
Uncomprehendable!
Life without you
A mirage
Life without you
A fallacy
Life without you
I just could not see it

Alas!
Here I am
Living without you
Where comes the strength
Where comes this inspiration
Where is that desperation
Painful as it is,
As sad as I am,
Here I am
Living without you
Whelter it makes sense or not
This is
Life without you

Death alone,
So thought I
Could tear us apart
Now I know better
All I thought impossible
All I thought would not be relevant
When it comes to us
The apex of my fear
The most dreaded of them all
Now is unleashed
The last straw that breaks the camel's hump
Is cast
Now all I have
A life without you
