Withdrawal Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Withdrawal

Rating: 5.0

I have pulled the shades
To the windows of my heart,
No light seeps in...
It is cold and dark
As you first found it,
Laughing no more,
Hopeing for naught,
Placid...
Locked away...
At your request!

You must love. You must breathe the air deeper and be glad you can. Isn't love what we were created for? If anyone requested for love to be locked away, you must love them more. It is not the way of the world. It is God's way. He knows what he's doing! This is so real and vivid; I truly appreciate it.
