Wishing On A Star Poem by Vanessa Brown

Wishing On A Star

Rating: 4.8

When you were sitting by my side,
My heart began to pound,
With wistfulness as i realise
That i need you to be around.

The thought of being apart from you,
The thought of you being gone,
Brings tears to my eyes, as i long for
A love that people would frown upon.

When you were sitting by my side,
I wanted to hold your hand,
And cuddle you from dusk til dawn,
But i don't think you'd understand.

In another space, time and world,
I'd willingly do all these things;
But for now, knowing i can't,
Poisons my heart with it's sting.

So I'm wishing on a star.
