Wishing For Senselessness Poem by angelica dela cruz

Wishing For Senselessness

What a great relief
it would be to be deaf
and blind for a day.
When the senses fail
is when a more
higher purpose grips
the mind and then
you can see
only then
and hear
only then
the sight and sound
that has been drowning in
worldly affairs.
For all its worth
there is no confusion
only one concept and frame
that engulfs the mind
in glorious terror
but still bestows the
wildest peace.
