Wish You Were Here Poem by Kiranjit Singh Bajaj

Wish You Were Here

(For all you Pink Floyd fans who wished their number 'Wish you were here' was but a trifle longer; here's my version of the extension.

So, so you think you can tell,
Sunrise from sunset,
Tear drops from rain,
Can you tell a silken beach, from a damp coal mine?
A cry from a hail?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade, your legends for myths?
Barren lands for grain?
Sweat & labor for fame?
Cold reason for treason?
And did you exchange your sacred vows for a night of lust in a moment of rage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here....(sing on)
