Winter Wonderland Poem by ivyjean patten brayfield

Winter Wonderland

Rating: 5.0

winter is the time of year
when everyone likes to cheer
snowmen appear in your backyard
and when you feel them they are frozen and hard

winters when the snow falls all around
a great white blanket covers the ground
a carrot for his nose and on his head a hat
no walking stick so give him a cricket bat

two lumps of coal make great black eyes
with a little luck this snowman flies
the weatherman says the snow will go
will I lose my frozen friend? I don`t know

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was told to write a poem anthology in English and if any of the poems are great or good enough to put in a book they would go in a book called young writers and winter wonderland was one of the poems that was picked for the book.
