You fall from benevolent skies
Gently kiss the plains and peaks
You bring relief to cracked smiles
Gently soothe the frost bites
The streets become alive with your breath
In every corner, your touch heals
Rivers and streams catch your gleam
Soft ripples murmur in glee
Lined with birds, the beam reverberates
With songs that float from beak to beak
A gentle shower of love and pity
You are for everyone equally
A fool I must be to stay indoors
As your warmth carpets the ways
I too want to go outside. So beautiful a poem! Nature comes alive in an excellent way that is only possible when gifted poets like Nosheen writes. Well done my friend.
An outing in a winter sun shine, taking snacks in the Shalimar Garden and when I was in my thirties. Many sweet memories I still keep when I was residing in Lahore. Your warming poem awakened a lovely past. Nice to read it.
