Winter’s Almost Gone Poem by Walterrean Salley

Winter’s Almost Gone

Rating: 5.0

The year was beset
By monstrous storms.
But winter’s waning—
‘Tis almost gone.

Along the West Coast
And East Coast too—
From Arizona
To locations anew.

The white stuff fell
All around—
Covering roofs
And the ground.

Closing highways.
Grounding skies.
As for emergencies—
Couldn’t get nigh.

The year was hit
By blizzards and sleet.
But it’s almost over.
A welcomed feat!
