Winter Poem by Morhardt Carmen Mencita Monoi Angel

Winter

WINTER

Winter’s frozen landscape
Not easy to escape
Lingering ice drops
On the roofs top

Immaculate white and clear
Cold impossible to bear
Feel winter’s breeze
Humble earth freeze

Up and down snowy hills
Rain deers keep still
Nostrils inhaling the cold
Nature ever so bold

Skating on frozen pond
Of which she is fond
Children’s icy playground
Breathless sound

A cover of white snow
Footprints row by row
Sun’s glittering spell
Winter’s fresh smell
