Winter Poem by Ray Hansell

Winter

I hear a baby crying
I hear a car try to start
The engine gets to running
Like the beating of a heart

Trees sway in the breeze
Chimes sing in the distance
Winter is on it's way
It will meet no resistance

The seasons can't be stopped
As they change every year
Hoping that real sson
Springtime will be near

The cold of winter chills the bones
As snow blankets the growund
A place not covered by snow
Just cannot be found

Soon the storms will move on
To make room for another
Once again the snow will find
Hills and streets to cover

Hoping that this winter
Will not be too bad
But I have a bad feeling
Based, on what we've already had

But of course I'll always
Hope for the very best
Just knowing that each winter
Again, will be another test
