Winedrops Poem by Abraham Sutzkever

Winedrops

I

A string of birds seeks in the sun strewn seeds of sound
To sing silence to a dreamer in the grass.

II

Fewer words.
Fewer, fewer drops.
Soon, the goblet will run out
Along with the wine.
