Wildflower Poem by Carlos Rodriguez

Wildflower

Rating: 5.0

She rests
Among the willows
Tepid in her memories
Yet ever vibrant with possibility
A lone reed
Dancing in the wind
Her abandon not as wild
But one can see the inner child
Nestled in tranquility

She has mastered the art
Of acceptance & release
And her canvas sings
An aria of forgiveness
To the world for its betrayal
Because she knows
It's the only way to move beyond
And what was lost
Is never completely gone
If you truly seek it

Purity prevails
A tender heart avails
All that subsists
And lurks beneath her fragility
Doubt has no merit
When mercy is self-implied
For it's the gentle shifting of the tide
That heals.
