Wild Woman Poem by MANDY CLARISSA

Wild Woman

Make way for the divine๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ

Wild Woman

Curtains drawn at dawn
Hide her greatness
Behind tenets of religion, culture and norms

Wild women
Don't cower Or bow down to untethered reigns of propriety
They sing aloud
Chanting greatness in ancestral tones

Close your doors
Hide the children
Shut their ears and blind their eyes
So they are told

Label her with synonyms
Attached to anarchy
Rape her femininity
Strip her of her humanity
Leaving her as dirt to be trodden upon
When you see her walking
Have the audacity to call her names
That she wasn't assigned at birth

Wild woman
Don't listen to them
You are the epitome of greatness
Unfettered and unfiltered
Wear your nakedness
With pride

Make waves
Strong as oceans
Let them hear that sound from miles away
At shore's end

Yours is a road less travelled
Unafraid and unapologetic
display your lustre

Let men bow at your feet
And those who have been chained by Ego
Cowering behind fantasies
Dare to imagine

Wild woman
Enjoy your brilliance
Live it out like
The Queen that you are
Walk like you have diamonds between your thighs
Hold your head high
Hoisted by a neck so strong
Let Gazelles gaze at your beauty
Define yourself without limitations
And break every fearful anchor that has been chained to your name
You are greatness
Personified
