Why I Wander Poem by Jon ProskeyVigil

Why I Wander

Rating: 3.5

I have come a long way;
i have waited so long for this day.
I crossed lifes desert hot and dry;
I lost many friends thats why I cry.
I am finally out of this death vally;
i havepassed this final test.
i fall to my knees into a stream;
and wonder at the moons lovely gleam.
In the background the birds all sing;
If I did not have to leave I'd feel like a king.
But i can't help it that this tear falls;
I know that i can not stay; my solitude calls.
So I will wait here till the end;
until my soul he does send.
Into that lake that is my only bain;
oh why did I do it, my name is cain.
