Why Do I Keep Going Back? Poem by James Woodleaf

Why Do I Keep Going Back?

Hiding, Falling, No where to run
Right here, Right now
What is there to say
Nothing is new under the sun

Coming after you, theres no one here
Trying hard to live in sin
You lead me away from where I need to be
Stabbing my back, You're taking over me

I'm not doing this anymore
Those words ring through my mind
But every time you come around
I'm always jumping inside

This will be different, this will be good
She has changed, this is all new
I know what she did to me before
She has changed, this is all new

Calling out to you, in this lonely wilderness
Life is but the coal, nothing more
I need the fire in my life, that is you
To keep the steem coming, and keep me going
