Why Did You Leave Her Alone? Poem by Lovita Morang

Why Did You Leave Her Alone?

Best people cannot fight, why,
brawler cannot be a peacemaker
Bravery knows, bravery is shy
Did i cry, didn't I try?

When all is gone, in vacuum lights linger alone,
Where shall I keep all these gift I bought for you to hone?

When leaves fall,
Why will it not fall?
Earth spreads it's arm and call;
Why will it not fall?
Smell of soil is same,
here and elsewhere,
then why it's never.

Dear inhabitant, temporal song, nowhere a home?
Do Gods reside in me, in real residents or in domes?
Ecstasy escalates, down

Do not, please do not ask me where I belong,
I belong here, where you belong.

How long, what do we long for, how long?
Point your finger at the line,
The line I cannot cross,
How many nations are in ceasefire, in rigid rhyme,
How many friends, friendly, across?
Tell me the line I cannot cross.
What disrupts the sovereignty?
What jails the zeal? How do we host hostility in history?

Ah! Beloved, why there is chaos, sufferings and pain at homes,
In homes why empty rooms clamourous, thunderous growl
Things we leave behind that's not all, we love,

we clasp the wind's wing and crawl
For greater good, a new chapter, a new book
Where to I find a New India?
And writhe not to write, freeing that chains
Tell me to reaffirm, with what's gratified idea
I find my India
When leaves fall
Then why not fall, why will not it fall
When earth opens its arm and call

May be in search of love,
Many flew across in search of winged-dove.

Flick of wings, wing beats the shrill cry sharp,
Green imperial pigeon, why did you leave her alone to harp.
