They see a girl who’s lying to herself and others
They see someone who’s in denial
They see a lost lover still in love
Can’t they see what I see?
A girl who’s moved on
Someone who’s expected the truth
A lost lover who just wants a friend
Maybe someday they’ll see
The real girl she’s meant to be
