Who Knows Himself Better Poem by YOSRA BAIDI

Who Knows Himself Better

Rating: 5.0

Who knows himself better
Who can see his mistakes clearer
Than a person lying on his bed
Waiting for the angel of death?
Thinking about nothing but death
Not how not when and not why
But who or whom he would meet?
We all know that at the end
and in the judgment-day
we would walk in one way
and at the end, we meet our LORD.

Who knows himself better
Who can see his mistakes clearer
Than a person becomes happier
When he sees the angels welcoming,
Guiding him to the death-line
At that time and moment
He knows whom was he and
Whom he would meet.

We live at anxiety and horror,
And they die at ease, with honor
Do you know why?
Cause when we are alive
We fight to know who we are, still
When dying we face our truth
We know ourselves
We feel regret about our mistakes.

Do you know now?
Who knows himself better
Who can see his mistakes clearer
Than a person lying on his bed
Waiting for the angel of death.

Yes, you are right, but it is better not to die before we find the truth that what we make out of our life, we get it back. Remember I said somewhere only those dies who cannot progress with the world anymore. That is why we have to forgive the past, not forget, only forgive, and live for the today, preferably in peace and contentment, loving the world, everyone in it.
