Who Am I Poem by Molly O'Shaunessy

Who Am I

You wonder who I am
no one really knows
you wonder where i'm from
I don't even know
you think you know who I am
but I have to tell you
no one really knows
you wonder the same things I wonder
who is the man that is my father?
who is the woman that is my mother?
one is away
the other is near
one hates you
one loves you
you wonder who I am
where i come from
but I gotta tell you
I wonder the same things

I am impressed by you poetry - but also hurt by its self-destructive nature. John Westlake is absolutely right. Seek and find your inner strength and never lose it. You will find out who you are and I'll bet that it is someone lovely!
