White Ocean Poem by Samantha Schenk

White Ocean

Rating: 5.0

The white ocean surrounds me.
Drifting, floating, moving so slowly.

Brown and gold plants reach up for air.
But the cold world around them is never fair.

Creatures from above and also from the deep,
Take in the sights and start to weep.

Above me they leave, in strict uniform.
And down below, they huddle to keep warm.

Tears drip from the sky, frozen at the start.
They swirl and land, chilling the worlds heart.

I just can't wait for this world to thaw.
For it is the most beautiful sight I ever saw.
