1.

I walk down the hall with people all around me.
I look at nothing for there is nothing to see.

No one says hello to me because no one really cares.
...

2.

The looks exchanged, those knowing eyes.
They speak the truth, and never of lies.

Those eyes that I hold, ever so dear.
...

My life is perfect, I have everything I need.
But this voice inside, is one I must heed.

The voice is wanting, the voice is greed.
...

I thought of you today, but that is nothing new.
I thought of you yesterday, and the day before too.

Your gentle smile, your kind 'I love you.'
...

Are you blind? can you not see?
That it is your words doing this to me?

One step closer, one more to go.
...

I run for my life with no where to go.
You have me enthralled and I cannot escape.
You have caught me in the circle of your arms.
You command me and I must obey.
...

When the stars all fade, when they darken and die.
When the world we know, just ceases to try.

When our morning star fades to a glow.
...

The cycle repeats itself for all of time.
The only way to feel, for me, is to rhyme.

With fancy words, it may seem like a game.
...

The white ocean surrounds me.
Drifting, floating, moving so slowly.

Brown and gold plants reach up for air.
...

Reaching for you, memories flash by.
I can imagine you face, and I start to cry.

I look in my mirror, but all I can see.
...

This is for you, just hear me out.
It helped me in the midst of my doubt.

A gentle touch, a kind word or two.
...

I can feel it inside me, and it's starting to spread.
It all but consumes me, this feeling of dread.

I know what is coming, I know what is ahead.
...

Are you blind? Can you not see?
That it is you doing this to me?

You steal my heart, make angels sing.
...

The Best Poem Of Samantha Schenk

Alone

I walk down the hall with people all around me.
I look at nothing for there is nothing to see.

No one says hello to me because no one really cares.
They don't know, don't see, that inside me are nightmares.

These ghosts inside, they speak, they tell of ages past.
When people who were meek, were not treated with aghast,

Don't they see it's all an act, the one i pretend to be?
The real one is packed away for only me.

Don't let them see what they do to me.
Please grant me invisibility, please let me be.
