Whispers In The Breeze Poem by Kevin Sullivan

Whispers In The Breeze

Rating: 5.0

Softly whispered in the breeze
Are the words that bring me to my knees
Fantastic thoughts come to mind
The atrocities, I'll leave behind
Illusionary frames in dreams
Riding on those lunar beams
As the rain calls out to me
And the heavens show all I can be
I seek all that the spinning brings
Listening as the angels sing
The harp I imagine must be near
It rings so loud deep in my ears
Shades of gray are flying by
Screaming out into the night
As their shrieking fills the skies
I arduously try and stop their cries
Then the storm lifts me up again
Above the trees, above the wind
It carries me to another place
Another task, another chase
Then when I feel all God’s grace
My mind once again is erased
All I have to remember the days
Are the brightest of colors and shades of gray
So while I’m floating above the trees
I’ll listen for whispers in the breeze
