Whispers And Giggles Poem by Onome Akpotayobor

Whispers And Giggles

I saw them under the mango tree,
There took solace in the night, there tried
Hiding from me but the moon betrayed them.

Their conversation were whispers and giggles
But yet made sense.
Such tales never get old.
In its many forms and shapes, it is most
Beautiful.
Even with the bitter sweet that it comes with
Little can compare.

Tales of its warmth can only be compared to a
Mothers.
As abundant as the air we breathe yet
Scarce as a hens' teeth.
Getting the real deal is not as black and white
As you see on TV, its comes with colors and
Shade that are yet to be define,
But it's the thought that count there say.

I am filled with envy for I cannot make whispers
Nor giggles.
But when you suffer from the paralysis of the heart,
All you can afford is a blank star
